Do you agree with Samuel Eto'o?

Last Saturday Futbol Club Barcelona played a match in Zaragoza against the club of the city. The match was so bored, no goal occasions, no polemic situations, nothing special. All the time some people inside the stadium were crying imitating the sound of a monkey. People like me who were watching the game in house by the TV didn’t know that it was happening. Some dreadful hooligans were insulting Samuel Eto’o. Eto’o is a black football player born in Cameroon. They didn’t cry him words like idiot, silly or bastard. They were imitating the sound of a monkey! Samuel held this situation almost all the match but finally he couldn’t stand more with that people and explode. He was determined to abandon the pitch. While he was telling to the referee “I don’t play more” he walked out to the changin rooms. All the players who were there playing there persuaded him to carry on with the game and he finally accepted. He finished the game with a very good actuation.

I’ve been thinking about this affair. My conclusion is that not all the people who cried against Samuel were racist. I can’t believe that. What I really think is that those people were rude white people and their intention wasn't to insult in order to offend black collective. However, I think that people who go to the stadiums should forgot this kind of behaviour. I've heart sentences like “Figo dies you”, “Michel you're queer”, “Polish who don't jump...” (refering to catalonians) into a football stadiumInto a football stadium. And many others dedicated to the referee: “Son of a bitch”, “bastard”, etc.

I think that it'll be better if people who go to this spectacles think about this situation and make an effort to be more human and respect the opponent. They can encourage their team, but please, without insulting to anybody.

Smoke a cigarette.

Hi smokers! How many smokers in class? Two, three, or maybe four? If I had asked this questions four of five years ago, the answer would be almost ten or fifteen people. Isn’t it?

Have you noticed how many people are giving up smoking nowadays? An example is my company. There were almost ten men who smoked. Any woman smokes. Nowadays any of my workmates smokes. They are bearing the withdrawal symptoms strongly. They are winning the battle against nicotine and the other elements of the cigarettes. Only one of them is carry on with tobacco. He smokes more than one box each day and he doesn’t think about stop smoking.

I don’t consider myself as a smoker, but I like smoking. I smoke two or three cigarettes each weekend by average. Some weekends I can smoke seven or eight and other weeks any one.

Believe me, smoking a cigarette after a copious lunch or dinner is one of the most pleasures! It’s great!

Can you imagine your belly full, your cup of coffee, tea or some liquor, and your hand holding a long and good cigarette? It’s an image of pleasure!

New Year’s resolutions

I did a lot of resolutions for this year. One of my New Year’s Resolutions was writing at least one post each week. As you can see I haven’t kept my promise, but I’ll change my behavior and since today I’ll write every week.

Other resolution was start again to study. I’m registered into the second cycle of my degree. I’m going to do only three matters. I’m working and I want to continue working so I have chosen the three matters I think I’ll be able to pass. I know It won’t be easy, but and I want to try.

I have other important resolution for this year. I want to change my job. I want to improve my career and unfortunately in my present company I don’t think I could do it. Moreover if I want to study, I need a job nearest to my house and don’t waste my time in my car driving from house to work and from work to house. I spend almost two hours just driving from house to work everyday. It has to change!

Other important resolutions are reading the English books, studying English, doing the homework, etc.

I think my new year will be hard, intensive and busy, but I hope it’ll be profitable.
